Abstract | Johannes Dahle is the former Director of Student Activities and University Programs, the former Director of University Centers, and the former Director of Development and University Relations. He discusses his career and how he came to the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in the 1960s, changes to music, arts, and programs in Eau Claire, and his role in the founding of the Viennese Ball by coordinating with Ada Bors and Dr. Haas, as well as their original vision. Dahle also discusses the inclusion of alcohol in the event, planning the event, and the university’s involvement with the student’s planning of the event, such as financial allocations and involvement of the Eau Claire community. |
