Abstract | Ryan Olson is self-made musical artist who decided to open a record label called Totally Gross National Product (TGNP). “Totally Gross National Product is an artist-run label founded in Minneapolis, MN by producer/musician Ryan Olson (Gayngs, Polica) and his friends in 2004. In the past few years, TGNP has earned a much broader audience throughout the US and Europe. As it's grown into an internationally recognized label, TGNP has premiered singles, videos, and album streams with Fader, Pitchfork, NME, Rolling Stone, NPR Music, Noisey, Brooklyn Vegan, Death & Taxes, and many others. Olson talks about his experiences as a musician and producer. |
